Google Sniper 2 Review | Google Sniper 2.0 Review - What's NOT Good About It.

Hi, It’s Macky, here.

I’m prefacing this Google Sniper 2 Review with the things that You, my friend, may not feel good about.

By the way, if you are looking for the official website:

AND, if click here if you are looking for my Google Sniper 2 Bonus.

Before I decided to write this review, I scanned the “competition”. Except for one or two, there are so many reviews out there which sing their Hallelujahs to Google Sniper 2.0, just to make the sale.

I won’t.

Although, I also need the sale (who wouldn’t?) — I’d like my readers to feel that I value their time and respect their judgment, the way I do mine.

I do this by giving them an honest review they can trust.

First ‘Bad’ – $97, or $67?

You are given an initial price of $97. When you exit — it screams ….

“… hey — how about $67″?

Being quite “long enough” in this game, I tested the “exit” to see if something comes up.

True enough, there’s that exit pop-up!

“… Hey — how about $67?”

Huh!

I begin to feel for the unknowing buyer.

What if You bought at the front price and you later found out that you could have bough it for $30 less?

Would you feel duped? I would.

Frayed feelings? You bet.

Would you buy again from this guy?

Maybe, maybe not.

But this one I’m sure — I would be very, very cautious.

Second ‘Bad’ – No Manual … !?

Yes it has a manual which you can read.

But …

That manual was the OLD Google Sniper 1 manual with very slight changes.

For the vids on the modules OTHER than the original Google Sniper 1 — there were …

None.

No transcription, no reading material, no nothing.

Which means you need to stay glued to your computer.

I don’t know about you … but, I want to be fast with my reading.

I prefer reading than watching in slow-motion which nibbles away the time you can better use taking action on the ideas presented.

And, an accompanying manual, just like good ‘ole Google Sniper 1 would be nice … nay, a must!

(In the absence of a manual, I devised a way to speed up my “video” reading … read below at the subheading “What I did Like “ )

Now ….

For the GOOD STUFF …

There’s a lot.

I’m revisiting this site, “Google Sniper Review Blog” and doing an “actual user” review of Google Sniper 2.0. This was relaunched by George Brown as a “2.0” variant.

This Blog, the Google Sniper Review Blog, was a direct off-shoot of that course when it was first launched in October 2009.

Just using “sniping tactics” alone, as outlined in the first Google edition – this site has stayed number one ever since “01-01-10” over the “broad” keyword “google sniper blog” with over 3.5 MILLION competing pages (see below):

‘

Who is this review and product best suited for?

The “newbies”. This is best suited for the “newbies” who are looking for an actionable quick guide on how you can make money online.

The “strugglers” or frustrated IMers who still have to make a decent income online given the time and resources they invest.

I would surmise that this is mainly because of “information overload”, or search for a “magic wand”, or jumping from one program to another in search for the “best practices”.

If you belong to one of them — this course is also for you.

Let me give you one unsolicited advice to maximize what you get from this course and lead you to your first $100 online:

… commit to completion.

I also strongly suggest that you also get the “$97-down-to-$67″ Upsell No. 2 (see ‘Upsell Sub-Headline’) wherein a successful sniper shows you step-by-step, how he prepares for his “kills”….

This will save you a ton of time.

There’s no risk. …

This is a “Clickbank” product which guarantees your satisfaction within 60 days, no-questions-asked.

Now …. If you are an intermediate/advanced marketer who is already earning more than $5,000 a month … I’m afraid, you already know these lessons well.

So, it may not benefit you much in terms of knowledge acquisition, but I’m sure that … you will find one or two golden nuggets that you can apply to your business (e.g. teaching the course to your affiliates, or … giving your outsourcers a concrete guide they can follow)

Anyway — for your business, this purchase is tax-deductible.

George Brown, Who?

This dude, George Brown, when he launched his first Google Sniper wrote that he was a former “furniture mover”. Read More About George Brown

For those who are first timers to “sniping” … this question comes up:

What Exactly Is Google Sniping?

Google Sniping is the strategy of building “sniper” sites based on one “keyword” and supported by its related keywords (”LSI’s”).

You use the tactics of ”on-page SEO optimization” with very little “backlinking” (social bookmarking, pinging, and You Tube vids).

But over the years — it has become harder to rank using purely “sniping” tactics alone.

George recognized that, and with Google Sniper 2, he attempts to patch the gaps with a complete module on off-page SEO (see “Further Training”). Read More About What Google Sniping Is

What Does Google Sniper 2.0 Bring? … What is New?

GS 2.0 is broken down into 3 Main Modules:

Google Sniper 2.0

Further Training

Empire Module (”new”)

(The ‘Rolodex’ is just a collection of the tools and resources that George uses, while Sniper X, is the gateway to his membership site.)

‘

… On the Module Google Sniper 2.0

If you had Google Sniper 1 (GS-1), this part is basically the same. EXCEPT that the videos were re-shot (but I see that some were not, e.g. “cloaking” vid)

… On the Module “Further Training”

This is a new addition to the GS-1. It contains the techniques and strategies that George, and his partners, found effective when their sniper sites are not ranking and/or not converting.

It has 8 instructional vids:

Vid-1 … Preselling – MORE Tips On Maximising Your Sniper Sites Conversion Rate.

Vid-2 … What Can Go Wrong With Your Sniper Sites And How To Fix It… FAST

Vid-3 … SEO – The Easiest Ways To Massively Boost Your Sniper Sites Rankings In The Search Engines

Vid-4 … SEO – Special Guest & Full Time Google Sniper Alex Shares His Techniques For Guarenteed #1 Rankings

Vid-5 … How To SUPERCHARGE Your Sites Using Social Media (And Without Spending Hours A Day On Twitter!)

Vid-6 … What Products Have Converted Best For Me On Clickbank

Vid-7 … An Introduction to CPA & Google Sniper

Vid-8 … How To Choose A CPA Offer To Promote (Different To Clickbank Of Course!)

BTW, these vids were taken from the GS membership site that they run!

(Talking about leveraging efforts: work them up once, earn from them multiple times!)

… On the Module “Empire Module”

Here, George presents how he built his empire from $15,000 a month to $40,000 a month doing things through other people — outsourcing!

There are a lot of ‘blueprints’ out there about how to go about outsourcing … and this one is no different.

In fact, if you are “dabbling” in the IM niche, and you’ve done your fair share of research about the matter — you already have a working idea about it.

What makes this different is that George shares his personal experiences.

And what’s a better way to learn from that someone who already made the mistakes so that you don’t!

The Upsells

Upsell no. 1

$97 – A step-by-step video on how a partner of George (”Anthony”) created a sniper site from start to finish. Anhony said, that makes 10-12 grand a month on his sniper sites, and has since then, become a full-time IMer.

He is also quite young, at 22. (Argh!)

Upsell no. 2

$67 – This is Upsell No. 1 with a $30 discount … upon “exit”.

(I hate this technique! … Do you think this is ethical? )

Upsell no. 3

$97 – George’s Traffic Ultimatum course at a $100 discount.

Now …

What Did I like?

I’d like to be short and direct to the point:

Google Sniper 2.0 is an “exact match” for the newbie or struggling affiliate marketer.

It teaches him or her, the exact methods and techniques — the skills one need — to earn his first $100 in the internet.

All in one place.

It also acts as a “springboard” towards building your all-powerful “list”.

(Watch out when they say the “money is in the list” ? Not complete. … The money is in the list when that list is composed of buyers!)

Once you find a keyword that converts, create another “keyword-site” (take one of the LSI of your original keyword, put-up an “optin page” and an “ethical bribe” … you then have the makings of a potential money-making machine for years to come.)

(For the detailed “skills-building”, I strongly recommend Chris Farrell’s Membership Review Site, or its sister site here on how to make real money online. )

What Did I Not Like … ?

I view Google Sniper 1 as the better teacher in terms of effective teaching methodology.

GS-1 has a manual which is almost a transcription of what were discussed in the videos.

It has been established in ”adult-learning” education, that this combination of visual and written approach, plus “hands-on”, is the best methodology of teaching.

Having a manual handy is very convenient. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can always refer to the manual.

And if the manual is as well-written as the GS-1, you hardly miss anything (but the actual practice).

Sadly — in my review of Google Sniper 2.0 the printed manuals are lacking.

(George — with all your millions, did you forget, or did you get stingy?)

After the vids on GS-2, you literally have to plod your way through the videos in “Further Learning” and “Empire Building”.

Well … I have a solution here which I’m sharing with you … listen up!

don’t stream the videos, download the vids onto your hard drive, then

use your VLC player to jump, skim, or to fast-forward.

With this “technique”, you can have the option to finish a 30-minute vid in less than 10 minutes. (But — you still will need a computer in front of you.)

Going back …

With all the money that George has earned — he could have easily outsourced the making of the accompanying manuals.

Also — as I have stated earlier, I hate it when marketers are not upfront with the real price.

You get presented with a $97 ticket… you opted out … then offered a “discounted” price $30 less!

Now what if you didn’t blink and grab the $97 sticker?

And later — because this really is a small world — you’ve known that someone got it at $67 …

How would you feel?

In Conclusion, Here’s My Recommendations …

Ahh, this has been a long post …

Despite the shortfalls I discussed, I still believe this course is worth its weight in gold especially if you are beginning in internet marketing.

1. If you are a newbie or a struggling affiliate marketer… you cannot go wrong with this course.

Speed up your learning by also grabbing Upsell No. 2 …

BUT … click on the e-”X“-it button first so that you will be offered the “discounted” price of $67 (down from $97). Don’t tell me I didn’t tell you!

As to Traffic Ultimatum (Upsell No. 3)… you don’t need it right now. You will just get more confused.

You can get to it later.

What I recommend is decide if this course is for you.

Should you do, stay the course and commit to it towards completion. (I may even be able to coach you. See my google sniper 2 bonus.

Keep a blind eye on the other courses.

Focus.

Master one thing at one time. And …

Start to complete.

2. If you are an advanced marketer – you can profit from the “empire module”, the outsourcing course.

You can take your business to the next higher level by outsourcing.

And Google Sniper 2.0 is the perfect outline in teaching or guiding your outsourcers to the results you require.

3. Social Bookmarking

George says that this is “the most important part of Chapter 7 …”. It is because, he

writes … “it is the easiest and fastest way to get a website indexed and get some

backlinks”.

The only drawback to this is that it is “very time consuming”. Like for example, if

you were to register to 20 social book marking sites, and it takes 5-10 minutes to

complete it per site, that will take 100 – 200 minutes, or from 1.7 to 3.3 hours.

There is a solution however. One is to use automatic submitter programs, and two

is to use human/manual submissions that you can outsource for a fee. Which one

does he find more effective? Find out on p. 89 of the Manual.

4. If these were not enough ….

If these were not enough and he deems that it is worth taking giving it more time, he

would add a “quick” Squidoo lens….

He also acknowledges other web traffic generators like article submission, forum

but he writes in his manual (p. 90) …

How to Get Rank and Authority Fast
Running Time 16 mins — Get Rank and Authority Fast

Synopsis:

Google Sniper George Brown shows in detail how to get and Rank and Authority fast in the eyes of the SE (search engines). By his experience, he vouches the effectivity of using three “web 2.0″ marketing techniques that made most of his sites display on page 1 of Google within three weeks to six months upon posting.

He was honest enough to reveal that not all of his sites were that successful. But overall, about 90% of his sites were.

The three top tools he uses are:

1. Pinging

He reveals a website where you can ping to 27 services in under 10 seconds! I went to that site and did just that…. Actually, typing in the “blog name” and “blog home page” took more time than pinging all the “common” services (22) !

I used not to do this – but now I know: ping your site upon first creation, and then ping it again every after new post or update that you make so that the search engine spiders will know that something has changed that they need to be check.

2. You Tube

You Tube is owned by Google. So naturally, Google looks at You Tube very kindly … in fact, George said that some of his YT sites have gathered more visitors that its actual website!

Here he gives a valuable tip on what topic to YT about for those who are a loss on what topic to talk about …

What about if you’re not ready to do a YT clip yet?

Well, just ”borrow” from someone! He strongly suggests though, that you do your own clip.

3. Social Bookmarking

George says that this is “the most important part of Chapter 7 …”, because, he writes … “it is the easiest and fastest way to get a website indexed and get some backlinks”.

The only drawback to this is that it is “very time consuming”.

Like for example, if you were to register to 20 social book marking sites, and it takes 5-10 minutes to complete it per site, that equates to 100 – 200 minutes, or from 1.7 to 3.3 hours of your time that you could better spend in marketing your business.

There is a solution however.

One is to use automatic submitter programs, and two is to use human/manual submissions that you can outsource for a fee.

Which one does he find more effective?

Find out on p. 89 of the Google Sniper Manual.

4. If these were not enough …

If these were not enough and he deems that it is worth taking giving it more time, he would add a “quick” Squidoo lens….

How to Create Posts, Pages, and Side-Bar Images
Running Time: 16 minutes

Synopsis:

Video 7 is an indispensable learning aid in understanding and implementing the ideas in Chapter 6 of the Google Sniper Manual (p. 74-ff).

The video shows, step-by-step, how to make your first post in Wordpress, how to create your ”About Me” page, and how to personalize it with your image.

He spends an elaborate amount of time in showing how to place that smiling image (of yours) onto that right-hand-side bar … and it’s suprisingly easy!

Let me tell you a little bit more about Chapter 6 of the Manual …

Part 1 – Set up the infrastructure of your site
Part 2 – Create the first part of the content
Part 3 – Getting your SIte ranked with Off-page optimization, and …

…. after the site is “indexed” by the Search Engines …

Part 4 – Put the icing on the cake — the final post, helpful article page, and affiliate links

Google Sniper George Brown recommends in his manual a minimum of only 3 posts (yes, only 3 !) … . But more posts would never hurt …. In fact, it is most desired and helpful … remember, Google loves Content.

He suggests:

The first post — include your main keyword (for the search engine spiders), and some 200- 500 word elaboration (for the human searchers)….

(This gave me a chuckle … on page 79, he wrote “… people will rarely read it, so don’t worry too much… !”)

The second post — make it supportive of the “final post”. If the final post is a review of a product, then he suggests you “sell” the person responsible for the product.

The third, and “final” post — make it your main post, the story of you telling your readers why you put up the blog. Enrich this part with your main keyword.

He recommends a “Helpful Article Page” to “bulk up” the content of your Site for both the robot spiders to index, and for your human searchers to appreciate.

He also encourages that you put your affiliate banners and ads onto that Right-hand side bar. And don’t be surprised if it brings you money!

Finally, to have an untiring, repeating teacher at-a-push-button to show you how to create Wordpress posts, pages, and how to position images — consider investing in the Google Sniper.#

Get More Clicks, And Stop Theft With Cloaked Links

Synopsis:

Cloaking your Affiliate Links means hiding your actual affiliate link and showing a more “neutral” link instead.

This practice prevents affiliate “theft”.

It also means getting more clicks.

Given the choices above, which do you think is more appealing?

Which do you think will get more clicks?

In this video, Google Sniper took pains in showing — step-by-step — how to cloak an affiliate link that even a non-techie … that means most of us … can do.

The Google Sniper Manual also describes this in 6 steps for those like me whose brain is half dead 50% of the time. See pages 69 – 72.

That’s why, I’d rather watch the Video and follow how he does it.

I needed to pause every now and then to get it straight.

For the more affluent — I suggest you use TWO computers so that you won’t have to toggle from one screen to another… the one that you use, and the other one that instructs.

To learn how it’s done in an amazingly easy, step-by-step way, you can choose to own the system.

Oh, BTW, in the early part of the Video, he taught how to get affiliate links from Clickbank. But most importantly — he taught how to use the often-ignored ”tracking ID” to assess which links are performing or not. #

3. Congruence. Your theme must fit your story and your target audience. That is,your “character” must fit the story… he insinuates that you can a “character” to match your story…

Example, if you’re promoting a ‘weight-loss’ product, you — the author– must come across as a ”middle-aged lady” who had a weight problem. But now, you’ve found a “solution” that you wanted to “share” to anybody who cares to listen.

That is, even though he, in actuality, is an athletic super-male with a six-pack, instead of a woman who was formerly obese!) … .

(I didn’t find this idea ”comfortable” at first, but… upon later “rumination” — if you really believe that your product can solve a person’s problem, then it is not about you anymore — it is now about that person, and how your product can solve that person’s problem!)

4. Pictures. If you as the author fits your theme, then the Google Sniper advises you to use your own picture… If not, he recommends iStockPhoto.com where one can get royalty-free photos for as low as $1.

He advises us to use ‘average” photos that your “average” visitor can relate to… and not to use professionally-crafted photos which may turn-off your visitors.

(In this regard, he says “make your About Me page good… there’s nothing like givng life to a website by knowing how the writer looks like.)

5. Info product vs. physical product. In the first part of the video, he talked lengthily about the difference in approach when preselling an info product, and a Physical product. (If you want to know …. )

6. Wordpress themes. He revealed where he sources his Wordpress themes. For pro-looking yet very-much affordable, he points to: “iNove”, “fusion”,and “i2″ (the mango orange themes).

Google Sniper Video 4 Review: Creating Foundations
Running Time: 10 mins

Synopsis:

In this Video, the Google Sniper shows you, step-by-step …

1. How to install a Word Press Blog from scratch.
( In the Manual, he teaches how to get a “good search-engine friendly” domain name and a reliable web host.)

2. How to install plug-ins particularly the “All-in-one SEO” and “Google XML Site Maps“. These plug-ins boost the site ranking by the search engines.

3. How to use Filezilla, as your FTP software in uploading your plug-ins to your Wordpress blog which resides in your web host.

4. How to choose a theme from so many. He suggests one (iNove) and proceeds to install or upload it, using Filezilla.

PROS:
Detailed approach, suitable for a beginner and as a refresher for someone who is not a beginner.

CONS:
He breezed through Filezilla FTP-connect. When it was my turn to do it, I got stalled. I had my FTP details messed up and it took me awhile to figure things out. It would have been better if he showed more in detail what those FTP connect values are and how one gets them…. anyway, that’s where a newbie learns.#

He explains which phrase variation to use, and when to use them ( “phrase” or “broad”). He says that a search volume of ____ per month is viable enough, depending in the competition which he elucidates in the “In-Depth” test.

He shows in real time how he finds his keywords in a “dating” niche, fine-tunes them, saves them in a spreadsheet file …. and how he uses it to organize his “clearing” method in isolating the keyword “winners”.

And then, he further tests his keywords in the …

2. In-depth test

He starts looking at the page 1 of the search engine result for the keyword selected to assess the competition — can we outrank them, or not?

He uses the “off-page” factors such as “Page Rank”, Alexa Ranking, and the sources of the pages. He says that pages coming from “forums”, “Yahoo Answers” are easy to beat.

But when it comes to “authority sites” such as the “Wiki’s”, and sites that have PR > 3 … they can be hard to beat.

He qualifies however that judging the competition can be a tricky thing.

But with experience … that the more you build your sites, the more knowledgeable you’ll become.

He Found a Solution …

That is why, he sought out a tool that will save him time.

And he found his gem in … the Keyword Elite 2.0.

This he says, he uses everyday. And that, it alone, has saved him hundreds of hours in research work.

So, he recommends to everybody to also try Keyword Elite. He actually has worked out a plan with Keyword Elite owner, Brad Cullen, to try out the package for 15 days free … no credit card details, just your email address.

PROS: GB took it to heart to illustrate how he does his KW research in real time, step by step.

CONS: This is minor … he talked of Alexa Ranking, Page Rankin, and “SEM-Rush” as if assuming that his audience already knows about them. #

CONS: Didn’t mention any of the “independent” affiliate marketplaces

Google Sniper Review Video ==> Market Research
Running Time: 16 minutes

Synopsis:

George Brown (GB) discusses the following points and illustrates them in real time:

1. Where to get products to promote.

2. How to analzye products that will make you money. He mentions LinkShare, Clickbank, PayDotCom, and the Independent Affiliate Programs.

He notes that there is less competition in the ‘independents’ and suggests that you also research your prospect products there. They could be real “gold mines”, he adds.

(I have one already and it’s ________ . I’ll-announce it after I finish the “preps”.)

3. He then focuses on ClickBank — the world’d largest digital marketplace. He says he makes 80% of his income there, and it is the “easiest place to start”.

(Be warned: “Easy” does not mean “easy money”).

4. For Clickbank product research, he suggests CB Engine because it offers a more comprehensive set of tools in looking for products that make money and in assessing new products that are more likely to become winners.

5. For metrics, he suggests products whose

“gravity” is not less than ___.  The higher the gravity, the “safer” the product;

“earned-$-per-sale” (E$PS) must be near the ____ level (for minimum returns!); … If you see that the EPS is higher than the commission level — it’s much better because it means there are backend sales that convert …. which can make you earn higher for the same number of visitors; and,

referred sale > 70%. This indicates that that affiliates, and not the merchant, are mostly promoting the product … and you gain from the buzz they produce.

6. He then goes to the product or sales page to determine if the sales copy is engaging. And can really sell.

7. He reveals methods to determine …

if the merchant does not override your affiliate link when your customer signs into their email or opt-in list. He says that some actually do.(He shows a quick check if your affiliate link “persists” up to the check-out page to insure that you actually get the commission that you’ve sweated out for.)

the refund rate without contacting the seller, which may take quite a while.
(The commission-$ is substantially > than the EPS-$, EPS.) And,

if the product is “rising”, or “going down” in popularity. You don’t want a product that is going down

8. Finally, he advises that once you got your product of interest — then buy the product yourself so that …

you would gain a first-hand knowledge of it,

you are able to write a good endorsement of the product, and

you can learn much from the niche the product is in.

PROS: He gave a fairly detailed process on how, and where to get products to sell.

CONS: He didn’t mention any of the “independent” affiliate marketplaces. I would suppose Amazon is one of them. #
