Why I Started the Google Sniper Blog …

Hi! It’s Napoleon here … this is my story of Google Sniper Blog.

I have long wanted to earn money “while asleep”.

My email box is full of emails from different “gurus” promoting their “secrets” and marketing their products. Would you believe that I have accumulated more than 7,000 of them in a span of five years?

I even have bought more than $5,000 of their products. (Ouch!)

I have accumulated tons of knowledge about Internet Marketing …. but hadn’t had the courage to put them into action.

I feared I will not be doing the “right thing’“ …. So, I go on and on, and on, and on. Learning much, doing little … earning zilch.

Then I came across
Google Sniper.

Reading through its Manual, everything seemed to fall into one simple, orderly place … And I – finally — mustered the heart to take … Action!

I stopped learning, and I started doing.

I began “learning by doing”.

So here I am … starting with this Google Sniper Blog. #

Google Sniper Video — Bonuses
Surprise Video — How to Double Your Earnings  Fast
Running Time — 25 minutes

Another proof of  Google Sniper “over-delivering”,  George Brown included a Bonus 25-minute video on How to Cash in on Product Launches Without a Big List using the concepts he explained in the Google Sniper.

This concept has allowed one of his friends to launch an affiliate product just focusing on this  “angle” — alone.

Here — Google Sniper explained the details for free (as part of his “hidden” bonus package).

He revealed the place where one can know ahead in advance what those products are. He also pointed out what to look for in evaluating which products to sell. And how to promote them using his Google Sniper methods.

He also showed a funny trick on what bonuses to offer — and most importantly,  how to “source” them at dirt-cheap prices.

This bonus is worth its weight in gold because it has the potential of really making big money fast.

So let’s  come on and go watch them create money literally out of  thin air!

Google Sniper Video 8 Review
How to Get Rank and Authority Fast
Vid 8    16 mins — Get Rank and Authority Fast
=============================
Synopsis:
George Brown shows in detail how to get and Rank and Authority fast
in the eyes of the SE (search engines). By his experience, he vouches the
effectivity of using three “web 2.0″ marketing techniques that made most of his sites
display on page 1 of Google from three weeks to six months.
He was enough to reveal that not all of his sites were that successful, but that 90%
of his sites were.
The three top tools he uses are:
1. Pinging
He reveals a website where you can ping to 27 services in under 10 seconds! I went
to that site and did just that … Actually, typing in the “blog name” and “blog home
page” took more time than pinging all the common services (22) !
I used not to do this – but now I know: ping your site upon first creation, and then
every after new post or update that you make so that the search engine spiders will
know that something has changed that needed to be checked.
2. You Tube
You Tube is owned by Google. So naturally, Google looks at You Tube very kindly
… in fact, George said that some of his YT sites have gathered more visitors that its
actual website!
Here he gives a valuable tip on what topic to YT about for those who are a loss on
what topic to talk about … If you’re not ready to do a YT clip yet — there are other
ways like, say —  ”borrowing” someone else’s clip!
3. Social Bookmarking
George says that this is “the most important part of Chapter 7 …”. It is because, he
writes … “it is the easiest and fastest way to get a website indexed and get some
backlinks”.
The only drawback to this is that it is “very time consuming”. Like for example, if
you were to register to 20 social book marking sites, and it takes 5-10 minutes to
complete it per site, that will take 100 – 200 minutes, or from 1.7  to 3.3 hours.
There is a solution however.  One is to use automatic submitter programs, and two
is to use human/manual submissions that you can outsource for a fee. Which one
does he find more effective? Find out on p. 89 of the Manual.
4. If these were not enough ….
If these were not enough and he deems that it is worth taking giving it more time, he
would add a “quick” Squidoo lens….
He also acknowledges other web traffic generators like article submission, forum
posting, directory posting, etc as important (if you are comfortable with them) ….
but he writes in his manual (p. 90) …
“To be honest, You Tube and Social Bookmarking are the only tools you NEED …”
(Of course, in conjunction with Pinging.)

Well,  just  ”borrow” from someone! He strongly suggests though, that you do your own clip.

Google Sniper Video 6 Review — Stop Theft With Cloaked Links
Running Time:  8 minutes
=============================
Cloaking your Affiliate Links means hiding your actual affiliate link  and showing a
more “neutral” link instead.
This practice prevents affiliate “theft”.
It also means getting more clicks.
It means that instead of showing:
www.GetThisProduct.com/MyAffiliateLink
Your readers will see something like:
www.YourDomain.com/Recommends/SolutionToYourProblem
Given the to above, which do you think is more appealing?
Which do you think will get more clicks?
In this video, Google Sniper took pains in showing — step-by-step — how
to cloak an affiliate link that even a non-techie (meaning, most of us) can do.
It is also described in the Manual for those like me whose brain is half dead most of
the time. See page 69 – 72.
He detailed it in six steps.
Me, I’d rather see the Video and follow how  he does it. I needed to pause every now
and then to get it straight.
For the more affluent — you can use TWO computers: the one that you use, and the
one that instructs.

Synopsis:
Vid-5 14mins Importance of Pre-selling
=============================
Google Sniper gives the following insights on the technique that gives him up to
20% conversion rate. Means, up to 1 out of 5 visitors “convert”, or buy the product
he endorses — Pre-selling.
1. Pre-selling is not selling!
Let the sales page do the selling! Your job is to put the visitor in the right rame of
mind so that when he clicks on the link to the sales page, he is more inclined to
buy!
(This gives rise to another topic — are your visitors ‘buyers’?, or ‘browsers’. But that’s
another topic…)
2. Give value, while pre-selling. Give them what they are looking for so that they
don’t leave your site.
3. Congruence. Your theme must fit your story and your target audience. That is,
your “character” must fit the story… he insinuates that you can a “character” to
match your story… Example, if you’re promoting a ‘weight-loss’ product, you — the
author– must come across as “middle-aged lady” who had a weight problem before
but now has found a “solution” in the product he is endorsing (even when he is an
athletic super-male, instead of a formerly-obese woman!) … I didn’t find this idea
“comfortable” at first, but upon later “rumination” — if you really believe that your
product can solve a person’s problem, then it is not about you anymore — it is about
her, and how your product can solve her problem!
4. Pictures. If you as the author fits your theme, then the Google Sniper advises
you to use your own picture… If not, he recommends iStockPhoto.com where one can get royalty-free photos for as low as $1.
Use ‘average” photos that your “average” visitor can relate to. Do’t use professionally-crafted photos.
In this regard, he says “make your About Me page good… there’s nothing like givng life to a website by knowing how the writer looks like.
5. He also talks about the difference in approach when preselling an info product, and a Physical product. If you want to know ….
6. He also revealed where he sources his Wordpress themes. For pro-looking yet very-much affordable, he points to:  ”iNovr”, “fusion”,and “i2″ (the mango orange themes).

Google Sniper Video 3 Review — Keyword Elite 2.0
Running Time:  5 mins
Synopsis:
GB introduces his “secret” weapon in finding keywords fast, and assessing the
competition with a fair accuracy.
It’s Keyword Elite 2.0 for him.
He claims that KWE2 has saved him an unbelievable amount of time compared to
when he was doing it the free, Google-it way.
And time saved, is money made.
He shows step-by-step how KWE2 gives him tons of keywords, how these are
pruned, and how they would likely fare against the competition.
In effect, it automates the process of finding niches that have a high level of
searches, but with a low level of competition.
At the end of the video, he entices the audience to try a free two-week trial of KWE2
with 100% functionality … in exchange fo your email (not your credit card number).
PROS:  A good presentation of KWE2 and how you can use it your Google Sniping.
CONS:  He likes KWE2 too much that he was silent on how Market Samurai,
another famed “secret” weapon, compares with KWE2. #

example.
1. Sniff test
- Free Google Tool to find out the number of searches q month, and its LSI
- which columns to hide bec. you don’t need them (hide the monthly search vol)
- which phrase variation to use, “phrase” or “broad”?

ex. “cute pick up lines”
- min number of searches (at least 3,000 per month)
2. In-depth test, looking at the page 1 of the search result, see the competition, and
assess if you can “win” … judging the level of competition can be tricky
-  how to download the KW in CV file
-   a. pick out the kw in quotes,  assess Page 1, the “quality” and “relevanc” of
the competition )p.1 and p. 2)
-  b. takeout the quotes, assess Page 1 result
- check out the PR (page Ranking), the Alexa ranking of the top rankers

stay out from the “authority” sites, PR =4 above
.. the “Wiki’s”… hard to outrank them
just targeting $300  month
==> suggestion, based on personal experience, the more you build sites,
the better you can become in gauging competition.
PROS:   (Major)Took real time to illustrate how he does his KW research real time:

==> proceeds to intro a TOOL that makes it easier (KW-Elite)

Google Sniper Video 2 Review — Keyword Research
Running Time:    11mins

Synopsis:

George Brown (GB) shows  in real time how he does his Google Sniper KW research using the “dating” niche as an example.

He does two tests: the “sniff” test, and the “in-depth” test.

1. Sniff test

He demonstrates Google’s Free Keyword Tool to find out the number of searches per month, and its related keywords.

He shows which columns to hide because you don’t need them.  (Hide the monthly search volume.)

He explains which phrase variation to use, and when to use them ( “phrase” or “broad”). He says that a search volume of ____ per month is viable enough, depending in the competition which he elucidates in the “In-Depth” test.

He shows in real time how he finds his keywords in a “dating” niche, fine-tunes them, saves them in a spreadsheet file …. and how he uses it to organize his “clearing” method in isolating the keyword “winners”.

And then, he further tests his keywords in the …

2. In-depth test

He starts looking at the page 1 of the search engine result for the keyword selected to assess the competition — can we outrank them, or not?

He uses the “off-page” factors such as “Page Rank”, Alexa Ranking, and the sources of the pages. He says that pages coming from “forums”, “Yahoo Answers” are easy to beat.

But when it comes to “authority sites” such as the “Wiki’s”, and sites that have PR > 3 … they can be hard to beat.

He qualifies however that judging the competition can be a tricky thing.

But with experience … that the more you build your sites, the more knowledgeable you’ll become.

He Found a Solution …

That is why, he sought out a tool that will save him time.

And he found his gem in … the Keyword Elite 2.0.

This he says, he uses everyday. And that,  it alone, has saved him hundreds of hours in research work.

So, he recommends to everybody to also try  Keyword Elite. He actually has worked out a plan with Keyword Elite owner, Brad Cullen, to try out the package for 15 days free … no credit card details, just your email address.

PROS: GB took it to heart to illustrate how he does his KW research in real time, step by step.

CONS: This is minor … he talked of  Alexa Ranking, Page Rankin, and “SEM-Rush” as if assuming that his audience already knows about them. #

Jan 2
GB discussed the following points and illustrated them in real time
1. Where to get products to promote.
2. How to analzye products that will make you money. He mentions LinkShare,
Clickbank,PayDotCom, and the Independent affiliate programs. He notes that there
is less competitiion in the ‘independents’ and suggests that you also research your
prospects there. They could be real “gold mines”.
(I have one already and it’s — (to-be-announced-after-I-make-the-preps) ).
3. He then focuses on ClickBank — the world’d largest digital marketplace. Where
he makes 80% of his income
4. For Clickbank product research, he suggests CB Engine because it offers a more
comprehensive set of tools in looking for products that make money and new
products that are more likely to become winners.
5. For metrics, he suggests products whose
-  ”gravity” is not less than ___, The higher the gravity, the “safer” the product.
-   earned-$-per-sale must be near the ____ level (minimum returns!)
… better if the EPS is higher bec. of the backend sales which can make you
earn higher for the same number of visitors.
-  referred sale > 70% (affiliates, not the merchant, are promoting the product
-
6. He then goes to the product or sales page to determine if it is engaging.
7. He reveals methods to determine
- to know if the merchant does not override your affiliate link when your customer
signs in to their email or opt-in list (he says that some actually do).
- he shows a quick check if your affiliate link “persists” up to the check-out page
so that you don’t lose the commission you’ve rightfully earned.
- the refund rate without contacting the seller (which may take a while)
(the commission-$ vs. EPS-$, EPS subtantially lower than the comm-$)
- if the product is “rising”, or “going down” in popularity.
8. Finally, once you determined your product of interest, buy the product yourself so
that you would have a first-hand knowledge of it,and it will enable you to really write
a good endorsement of the product…. and LEARN much from the niche you’re
working on.
PROS:
CONS:  Didn’t mention any of the “independent” affiliate marketplaces

3. He then focuses on ClickBank — the world’d largest digital marketplace. He says he makes 80% of his income there, and it is the “easiest place to start”.

(Be warned: “Easy” does not mean “easy money”).

4. For Clickbank product research, he suggests CB Engine because it offers a more comprehensive set of tools in looking for products that make money and in assessing new products that are more likely to become winners.

5. For metrics, he suggests products whose

Friday,January 01, 2010 ( 01-01-10 — Wow! This is a ‘good’ numerical combination!)

From Page Blank to Page One in 25 Days !

At first I didn’t believe it.

My son, whom I’m also influencing to get on the last “gold rush”  that is the Internet — told me after I came back  from work ….

“Pa … your Blog on Google Sniper is number 1 on Google over the keywords ‘google sniper blog’ ” … !

Screen Shot -- Google Sniper Blog Hits Google #1 01-01-10

Screen Shot -- Google Sniper Blog Hits Google #1 01-01-10 Click Image to Enlarge

“Huh … oh well, that’s interesting.” — was all I could mumble.

I thought, how could that be?
I haven’t even completed it yet.

My mind and body was drained from the day’s work (in a convalescent hospital as a Charge Nurse” …. ).

I took a nap for an hour and got up … only to be distracted by the day’s “domestic” activities. They needed my “kind” attention.

Today, January 2, 2010, is my day off.

It’s my chance to hop onto my computer, see what’s going on,  and complete what I can on my “Google Sniper Blog” project –  my “laboratory” on Internet Marketing.

After paying my bills online (oh, bills … bills … bills …) …

I typed “google sniper blog” on my browser search bar… and

… Lo and Behold!

I’d be damned.

Sitting on top of  Google’s results page number one, over 2,880,000 pages  is …

…  it’s my own “Google Sniper Blog” !

The funny thing is — I don’t exactly know how it happened in only 25 days.

All I did was to follow  the Google Sniper outline since this is my first blog…. And something must be right and effective in what I am doing!

I’m sure the ideas in Google Sniper which I have been implementing  contributed a lot … And to think  that  –

… it was my first sniper site!

Awesome … I’m so thrilled at the possibilities and opportunities!

From Page Blank to Page One in 25 days by a first time blogger !

A Happy New Year this year  is going to be!

And I see Prosperity in the offing. #

P.s.
Now — I have to get back to work and complete the rest of what I planned for this Blog … the vids’ review, the final review, the bonus offer, the secret tools … .

“WordPress — gift from the Gods?”
– George Brown (p.27, Google Sniper Manual)

I’ve had some experience creating simple  websites using Frontpage, and website builders like Site-Build-It … they were simple and easy to use … but ….

WordPress blows them away!

WP is simply awesome in ease of use, ease of construction, and more importantly — ease in being found by the search engines!

I’m almost halfway in constructing this site and I must admit that at first — I was groping much in how to learn and tame this benign beast they call WordPress.

But after a “focused” study period of learning by trial and error — I’m now quite at ease, in using it.

(Just did the “About Me” pic on the right bar with me smiling from ear-to-ear … as if saying, finally … I nailed it!)

I now  know why even 13 year old “newbies” are able to create their own stunning sites and even land on page 1 of Google over the highly-competitive keyword search on “make money online”.

Their secret? WordPress.

Why so?

You don’t  need advanced HTML coding.

  • if you know how to “click” on the mouse,
  • if you know how to type an email,
  • if you know how to “click and drag”,
  • if you know how to “cut and paste”
  • if you know how to “fill in the blanks”
  • if you can follow simple instructions,
  • if you can learn from your mistakes, and build upon them,
  • if you have the “hunger” and desire of a winner,or … simply put,
  • if you have half a brain of a normal human being who is determined to build something he can be proud of … then …
  • You can build a website that will surprise yourself  … and you can build a website that the search engines will love!

So my dear readers, to those of you who want to build an online presence, to those of you who desire to build an online business …

… but are still intimidated… by the “technical’ stuff ….

STOP!

Stop the negative thoughts.
If a half-witted being like me can do it …

You can also do it.

WordPress is here and WordPress is your answer!

WordPress —  a gift from the Gods?

You bet.

P.s.
Aside from WordPress being easy to learn and use — Google Sniper will walk you by the hand in constructing your first WordPress blog visually on its Manual on page 28 through 34. and “video-ly” on Video 4, “Watch Me Create a WordPress Blog from Scratch and Install a Theme and Both Plug-ins”)
