About Me

Hi, i-Sniper here.  Friends call me “Nap” (as in “take a nap … Snappy Nap”).

About me  … I’m quite a private person. I don’t reveal much about  my private  life. So, what I’m going to tell you is about life and business in general, and how Google Sniper has influenced me.

I have a family whom I love so much… I retired from an Oil Company in a supervisory position at a relatively young age.

I netted a very good retirement  pay …. I invested a good part of that money to business.

I failed… I’ve learned. I’ve grown. …. I’m back!

I lost a lot.  I fell into depression. I felt like “busted men”.

(“Busted men”. This was the description used by my namesake, Napoleon Hill,  in his less known  book “The 16 Secrets of Success” which predated his much acclaimed immortal work  “Think and Grow Rich”. “Busted Men” — how accurate.)

I returned to a  J-O-B …. It was much easier. It was much more comfortable.

But deep inside, I felt a certain emptiness. I know I could do more.

(Fast Forward 7 years later  … .)

Looking back,  I’m  considering  it only as a temporary failure.

I thought my MBA and a professional engineer’s license were guarantees of my success in business.

I was flat wrong.

I would later realize that a major part of that failure was lodged in the inner workings of my Mind – the Mindset …

I had the mind of an “ordinary employee”.

Please do not misunderstand me here.

I mean no disparaging connotations. I believe that employees have a very important  role in any business ,  in any organization, and in any society.

Let me even be more clear. Let me refer to the “Mindset” instead of the Person. The President of a successful company, say “Toyota” (they’re about to overtake GM as the biggest car maker the world) – is still an employee, right? …

But, is he an”ordinary employee”? … Does he have an employee mindset?

Of course, No!

This means that a person, who actually works as an employee, can still regard himself as possessing, or developing, an “entrepreneurial mind set”.

Like what happened and continue to happen to me. I was an employee, I still am an employee … but I am actively developing my self to think, or to have the mindset of  an entrepreneur.

It can be done… You too, can.

Employee Mindset, Entrepreneurial Mindset

The “employee mindset” is the opposite of the   “entrepreneurial mindset”. The employee mindset is satisfied with a “good pay” after a “pay period”. You often hear him saying “why would I work if I don’t get paid?”

(I don’t debate that. Nothing wrong with that. I even find myself slipping, and saying that once in a while. )

The entrepreneurial mindset on the other hand, is able to live and ride out with a small pay or no pay at all, after a “pay period” –  even — if  he works the hardest, and even if he works the longest.

The entrepreneur is able to work more than what he is paid for. His motto is  “under-promise” but his intention all along was to –  “over-deliver” (Ken Evoy).

He can do that because he has the guts, he has the stomach, for it.
He can take it. And he does it.

But not  everybody can take it, or do it.

That’s why only the very few has “ it”.
That’s why only the very few. so-called “upper” 5%” has it …
That’s why only the very, very few, super, ultra-elite, upper  “1%” — has  it.

The Entrepreneur knows and believes that over time …

  • with continued  persistence…
  • with the accumulation of knowledge…
  • with the  building of  personal value…
  • with the delivery of  outstanding service …
  • with the marketing of quality products with ready buyers…
  • then selling them to the “starving crowd”…  and,
  • following up with excellent customer care …

… his influence will ultimately expand, and demand for his business will soar.

He will then earn far more, by working  far less. His wealth will expand, his riches will be abundant.

He then earns money – literally, while sleeping.

Let Freedom Ring … My Driving Force

He will become F-R-E-E.
He will have the freedom of time and the freedom from want of money.

He will have the time and the money to do the things that he really loves – whatever those are, be it family, or charity, or advocacy.

His “Search for Meaning” (Viktor Frankl) – will be fulfilled.
His freedom of time and money, can help immensely, to make it happen.

That’s my driving force – Freedom…  freedom for me, freedom for my family, freedom to serve God  (… “whatever you conceive Him to be …”  – Desiderata) … , my loved ones, my community.#
